Not everything that happens in the real world lends itself to logical explanation and is intended for human eyes. We will try to consider all possible hypotheses: why can’t you sit on a table?
Hypothesis No. 1: originally from antiquity
Since ancient times in Russia, the table was the central object of the whole house. And the bread, located on it, was considered the personification of joy, prosperity, vital principle. It was here that the special daily ritual of the meal was performed, after which all family members gathered at the same time. It is logical that during the meal urgent problems, deeds and concerns were discussed, important fateful decisions were made.
Interesting fact: uneducated people, far from a scientific understanding of the information field, were inclined to believe that furniture, like a magnet, attracts and retains the received energy, both positive and negative.
Therefore, sitting on the table could provoke setbacks, troubles and even serious illnesses. And this was true not only of the household, but also of the guests who came through the wrong behavior and conveyed the negative to the owners. People believed that this is a special version of the curse, causing quarrels, fires and even death in the family.
Hypothesis No. 2: Orthodox faith in the “palm of God”
From time immemorial, religious families have uttered a special prayer before embarking on food. The Orthodox relate to the process of eating with awe and even reverence, because the table symbolized the "palm of the Lord," sending his blessings to man to satisfy hunger.
For this reason, sitting on the table was perceived only as a defiler, who disrespectfully refers to higher powers. It was believed that such an act would inevitably entail punishment from heaven, for example, in the form of deprivation of health, reputation and authority, personal happiness in marriage, financial well-being, luck and luck in all endeavors and life in general.
Hypothesis No. 3: Opinion of Modern Sciences
Today, from the century of innovative technologies and constant scientific innovations, does not leave reasonable arguments for skeptics prone to esoteric and mystical beliefs. But, nevertheless, it cannot be said that the modern world denies nature and will accept superstitions. Rather, he rationally explains them.
From the point of view of social and business etiquette, sitting on a table is indecent, uncivilized, and even vulgar. To behave in a similar manner at a party means to demonstrate one’s own bad manners, ignorance of the elementary rules of social behavior. And in terms of personal hygiene, this is more than ugly.
Sitting on the surface of the headset, you can simply stain the tablecloth, bring pathogens, which is fraught with serious health consequences - from food infections to other problems.
We must not forget about safety: the design of the table, not intended for heavy loads, can simply not withstand human weight. Is it worth the risk if in modern conditions it is full of comfortable chairs, chairs or stools for a comfortable pastime?
Drawing conclusions about why you can’t sit on the table, you can see the main message: that which is ugly cannot be right in principle. Believing in or disbelieving is a personal matter for every person. But the choice of how to relate to people around us is and always will be relevant. Elementary non-compliance with etiquette has not yet earned respect and honor from society.
